The Old and New Contract

The full-current back’s deal, which is thought to be worth about £5,000 per week, has four years left to run.

The Citizens have a solid relationship with the player’s agency, which also represents his City teammates Kyle Walker and Cole Palmer. Although talks with the 19-year-old have not yet begun, negotiations are anticipated to go easily. City will soon present him with a better contract.

Lewis will take the field against Chelsea on Thursday in the Premier League after starting each of City’s three games following the World Cup break.
