Erling Haaland has scored 20 goals in all competitions for Manchester City but failed to score against Liverpool in two matches.
Alf-Inge Haaland warns Man City Fans while defending his son
Before their game against Liverpool, Alf Inge warned the fans not to expect Erling Haaland to score in every match.
Senior Haaland speaking to Jan Aage Fjørtoft said,
“It’s a lot of attention at the moment, he’s had a great start to the season so it’s about maintaining it but we know also there will be some days where he doesn’t score, “
He added,
“It’s going to be tough but we’re trying as best we can not to get too focused on everything that happens next to the pitch.”
Senior Haaland admits the fans expect a lot of goals from the Norwegian striker but there will be days when he will not be on the score sheet.
When asked about Haaland will face Virgil Van Dijk again he said,
“One of the biggest challenges, he’s one of the best defenders in the world so it’s going to be really tough.”
After their defeat at Anfield, City are four points behind Arsenal. City are level on points with Tottenham Hotspur. This was City’s first defeat in the Premier League.
