Manchester City are ready to rival Arsenal for Declan Rice

Arsenal

Manchester City are ready to make moves for Declan Rice. Rice seems to be the no 1 target for Arsenal. But they have 2 bids already rejected by West Ham.

Manchester City are expected to submit an offer for West Ham United midfielder and Arsenal target Rice today. This is according to reports The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

The Premier League champions have serious interest in signing the 24-year-old. It is anticipated a formal bid will be lodged soon to rival Arsenal for his services.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also weighed in on the report. He is claiming Man City will only bid if Rice agrees to the move.

The Italian journalist adds that Arsenal remain confident of snapping up the England international. And are prepared to bid again for him.

Manchester United are also keen on Rice and are proposing a player-plus-cash deal. The Red Devils are ready to offer Harry Maguire or Scott McTominay in exchange for the Hammers star, and Arsenal need to act quickly to land their man.

Declan Rice still open to Manchester City but his heart desires Arsenal

The Gunners saw their first bid of up to £90 million rejected. They have verbally indicated their intention to make a second bid.

It could be worth over £100m, but Man City could be willing to offer more to West Ham. And also better the personal terms Arsenal are offering Rice.

While the Hammers captain is interested in joining the Gunners and keen on working with manager Mikel Arteta. Him turning down the Premier League champions could be difficult for him.

Most players dream of being under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola. And Man City will offer Rice a starting berth with Ilkay Gundogan set to leave.

Arsenal will not give up, but being joined by the Champions League champions is bad news for them. And it will be interesting to see who wins the race for the Englishman.
