Manchester City Colwill

Manchester City and Juventus are planning on the future of Kalvin Phillips. The 28 year old England international is Manchester United’s target as well. Moreover, the blues want to have a talk with the Italians over his future. Philips joined Man City from Leeds United in 2022 for £42 million. Since then, he’s mostly been on the bench. To be more precise, he’s just got 16 appearances for the club in one and a half seasons. Juventus want to persuade him to make a move to Italy. Apart from Manchester United, Juventus are the one major club behind Phillips. As per the reports, the Italian giants have intensified thier movements for the Englishman. They want to make this transfer as soon as possible.

According to express, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has put forward his views on the Midfielder.

“Honestly speaking, I feel sorry about him. I don’t know about his future at the club. But I feel sorry for his situation and I’ve said that many times. He’s got a good personality and is a hardworking man. That’s all I want from a player and he’s given me that. But I’ve not given him anything and that makes me sad. But I can’t do anything. I have to be a professional and these things are a part and parcel of every manager’s career.” – Pep Guardiola said.

Manchester City and Juventus want what’s best for the player.

Although Phillips is 28 years old, but he still has potential. One good move can skyrocket his career. Moreover, a switch to Juventus can give him regular playing time. That’ll develop him as a player. However, Manchester United can also be a favourable destination for him. The Red Devils are in a dire need of a defensive midfielder. They want stability in their mid line and Kalvin Phillips looks like a perfect fit for them.
