Man City can achieve the 126 years impossible record at Wolves

Manchester City

Manchester City have never won their first seven games in the Premier League ever. However, if they obtain 21 points from 21 with victory at Wolves this weekend, they would achieve the impossible. That would be only the second time they have done it in their history. The first of which was unleashed 126 years ago in the second tier – back in 1897. And if this happens, history will witness once again to City achieve the impossible.

City achieve the impossible:

Only two sides have managed to win their first seven in the Premier League till date. Chelsea did it in 2005-06, and Liverpool did it in 2019/20. Moreover, both went on to win the Premier League on the respective seasons .As City chase a fourth-straight title, they will be granted one of the best-ever boosts this season under Pep Guardiola.

The more City can keep winning without their star performers, the stronger and self-reliant they will be when they will get the support of John Stones, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne, once they return. The fixture table has been relatively smoothened in favour of City so far. Hence, they could extend their lead further if Liverpool drop points at Tottenham, so the Blues need to take advantage.

Injury list of City and their probable returns:

Bernardo Silva could return this week, while John Stones is expected to be back next week. Mateo Kovacic made his return at Newcastle. Meanwhile, Jack Grealish has played twice in the last week.

Rodri will serve the second match of his three-game suspension and will be available at RB Leipzig next week.

The new signings, Jeremy Doku, Matheus Nunes and Josko Gvardiol are helping City’s balance look much satisfactory over the coming fortnight. The Wolves game, though, could be one of the last chances for those fringe players to revive their dominance on field after the October international break.
