Football Insider claims that the contract negotiations between Manchester United and the representatives of 27-year-old defender Luke Shaw are going well. And both parties are optimistic that they can reach a deal.
At Old Trafford, Luke Shaw is under contract through the 2024 summer season. But given his importance to the Red Devils, it is hardly surprising that Manchester United would seek to guarantee his long-term employment.
Tyrell Malacia and Shaw have been vying for the starting left-back position. Also, he has experience at centre back. The 27-year-old has contributed greatly to the first team. An important player for Manchester United.
The Red Devils’ decision to sign the 27-year-old England international to a new, long-term contract makes sense. Furthermore, Erik ten Hag, wants to assemble a team that can contend for significant trophies. Also, he must keep guys like Shaw.
