The latest reports suggest that there are 3 Manchester United players who are firmly behind their boss Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United have not had a good season at all. And add up to that the last seven days has been awful for them as they lost 3-0 to rivals Manchester City and then 3-0 to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. This is with both games being played at Old Trafford.
United and Erik Ten Hag needs to fix things up quick before it turns sour
Manchester United losses, combined with them being eighth in the Premier League, has now seen some question whether Erik ten Hag should still be manager at this massive club.
Now, reports from The Athletic have shared that despite some player unrest. Some members of the squad, including Andre Onana, Anthony and Lisandro Martinez, owe their Manchester United careers to Ten Hag. And they are all backing the manager till the end. They also remain very hopeful that the slide in form can be stopped.
Up next for Manchester United are some easier fixtures in the Premier League on paper but Manchester United is still Manchester United. They face Fulham and Luton in their next two. It is massively important that ten Haag gets six points from these matches. Otherwise there will be even more pressure on him.
Fans will be hoping that they turn things around sooner rather than later. But with them knocked out of the Carabao Cup, they need to perform well in the Champions League, FA Cup and Premier League most importantly.
Erik ten Haag will be very happy to have some of the players in the squad still behind him. And he proved that last season that he can get this squad playing well.
Winning a cup in his first season was huge. And arguably it was massively underrated by many in the footballing world.
