Liverpool might offer a third bid for signing Romeo Lavia

Chelsea Bid

After getting two bids for Roméo Lavia rejected by Southampton so far this summer, Liverpool is still committed to land him at anfield. The Reds are in serious need of adding midfielders to fill the voids created by Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, who both left for Saudi Arabia. As a result, Lavia has been the primary target for Reds for some time. But Despite the fact that they have already had two bids rejected, Fabrizio Romano thinks the Reds will make a third attempt to convince the Saints to accept their offer.

Romeo Lavia remains to be the top priority for the Reds

Lavia is a top transfer priority for a team of Liverpool’s calibre, which speaks everything regarding how fascinating  he is. He had an outstanding debut season at St. Mary’s after moving there permanently from Manchester City. Although his team’s poor performance led them to relegation, the youngster showed his exciting passing and defensive skills. The midfielder featured 26 games in the Premier League in 2022–23 estabilishing himself as one of the club’s star. It would now be a huge surprise if he continues to be a Saints player after the current transfer window comes to an end at the end of August.

Liverpool to make a third bid for landing Romeo Lavia

Even though the Belgian international is still a fairly inexperienced player learning his role, he might be an excellent addition and an ideal replacement for Fabinho in the No. 6 spot. Hence, Fabrizio Romano is convinced that Liverpool will place a third bid for landing the defensive midfielder at the club. He says, “Southampton wants their money, remains in a good financial condition. And is not in a hurry to offload players. Liverpool attempted with £37 million and also offered £42 million later. But Southampton still asking for £50 million [for Lavia]. They’ll attempt once more”.

“I remain convinced that Liverpool will try again and they will bid again for Romeo Lavia. But it’s on Southampton more than on Liverpool. so we will have to see how they react to these bids”, Romano stated speaking about Liverpool’s tremendous interest. Also, the same thing is stated by journalist Sacha Tavolieri who says “Liverpool is prepared to submit a third offer for landing Southampton’s 19 year old star Romeo Lavia this summer.”

The Reds wants to execute all of their transfer plans very soon as the transfer market enters its closing weeks since a few players are still rumoured to be moving to Anfield this summer. Lavia is at the top of the list. But the Reds are additionally looking at potential replacements, such as André from Fluminense.
