Liverpool in Misfortune, Jürgen Klopp Struggling, Injuries soon to end

About Football Express UK

Nothing is going right with last season’s runner-up Liverpool, as team manager Jürgen Klopp is struggling with Injuries. The English club finished 2nd in the points table last season. Only a solitary point was all that separated the champions Manchester City from the runner-ups Liverpool. The heart-breaking result came in a thrilling final day of ups and down for the Merseyside fans. Not a result anyone of the Liverpool fans, players, staff as well as manager were expecting.

The new season came in like another chance to Liverpool’s regretful faces. Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp brought in fresh players from all over Europe. Bringing Calvin Ramsay, Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho as well as Arthur Melo. Moreover, releasing 26 players from the squad in the Summer Transfer Window. Despite new tactics and planning, Liverpool were with a poor start to the new campaign. Reds destroyed AFC Bournemouth at Anfield after suffering 2 draws and a defeat at Old Trafford. The Merseyside club only won 2 matches in their opening 6 matches so far this season.

But injuries have taken a drastic turn for the Liverpool squad.

Can Liverpool under the manager of Jürgen Klopp work their way out with Injuries?

Many of the Liverpool star players are off the squad due to injuries. Involving Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabio Carvalho, Curtis Jones, Ibrahima Konate, Caoimhin Kelleher as well as Calvin Ramsay. The reds are struggling to keep up with the Big 6 in the points table this season. Club’s star players are in injuries which did push them out of the top 4 of the Premier League table this season so far. Liverpool stands at 8th, after the Big 6, Brighton as well as new boys Fulham.

Football journalist Neil Jones said in the latest episode of Journo Insight Show when asked about Liverpool’s situation at Premier League. He said,

“They’re not the only club that that’s happened to. Arsenal have got the same issue with Thomas Partey. Ghana have called up Thomas Partey even though he’s injured, that’s going to cause mayhem. ‘I don’t know yet’ is the answer, I have put some calls in this morning – are Liverpool planning to release him for the squad? Is it one of those things where an international manager says, ‘Well, I don’t believe he’s injured; I want to see it myself?’ I think England got into a habit of doing that in the past.

All it does is it brings clouds to the situation. He [Klopp] has been asked about Naby Keita and he’s said ‘Yes, he’s injured.’ Liverpool can’t get away from the fact that it’s weird. Until it’s explained, it’s weird. A story emerges that he’s unhappy and that he might look to leave before the transfer window shuts. Liverpool rubbish that and say he’s going nowhere – which was true. He’s then due to come back into the squad for the Manchester United game, on the Sunday he gets an injury and he’s not in the squad and then he’s not seen since, now he’s in the Guinea squad. Let’s just say he just rocks up and plays for Guinea, you’ve got your answer, haven’t you?”
