Liverpool have to sign a centre back immediately. The Reds are short of a central defender due to Joel Matip’s injury. The Cameroon international picked up an injury against Fulham last Sunday. It’s a knee ligament injury and doesn’t seems good. The defender can be out of the team for months because of this injury. Moreover, Virgil Van Dijk is the only remaining proper centre back in the team at the moment. Liverpool need to get another centre back in the January transfer window to strengthen their defensive unit. Furthermore, the Reds can’t afford to lose any games from here as they’re just behind Arsenal in the league and can overtake them anytime.

The 22 year old Portuguese international has been linked with Liverpool for a while now. And Joel Matip’s injury is a clear indication that it’s high time now and the club have to get Inacio. Moreover, as per the reports, the club is already monitoring Inacio’s situation. He has a release clause of £52 million and Liverpool can afford to pay this sum.

Moreover, Liverpool could be an ideal club for Inacio as they are looking for a long term defender. Furthermore, Inacio would only develop as a player under Jurgen Klopp as the German manager is known for identifying talents and nurturing them into recognised players.
