Liverpool all in to bring the Dutch midfielder to Anfield

Liverpool

The Netherlands international’s name has been doing the rounds for months in regards to a switch to Anfield. But despite positive talks reportedly taking place between Liverpool and his agent, Gravenberch remains in Munich.

As well as Liverpool, they claim that Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Newcastle United are all still ‘keeping an eye’ on Gravenberch’s situation.

Neither of that trio are said to be of particular interest to the Dutchman though. He’d reportedly rather move to Liverpool above all else.

To that end, it’s claimed that the Reds’ preference would be to take Gravenberch on-loan. However, Bayern will only sanction a full sale in the event they do decide to let the midfielder go.

If Liverpool can get the green light from Bayern to sell Gravenberch, this should be a straightforward one to complete.T

he Reds have reportedly been in contact with the former Ajax man’s agents for quite some time. Coupled with his preference to join Liverpool, agreeing personal terms surely wouldn’t be an issue. No, the problem in this saga has always been Bayern. That’s fair enough, of course, they’re absolutely entitled to want to keep hold of their player.

But with Gravenberch himself publicly stating his desire for more game time as recently as Wednesday, something has to give.

The reds won’t want to be waiting too long. Time is already ticking on the summer and they need to start getting a couple more deals over the line. But if Bayern relent over the next few weeks, Gravenberch could still get his wish and end up at Liverpool next season.
