Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers thoughts on Clubs Transfer activity.

No signing in the summer transfer window has made Leicester City’s manager Brendan Rodgers furious. The English club from Leicester in the East Midlands of England, was founded in 1884. Leicester city has won their first and only top level title to date in 2015–16 Premier League under Claudio Ranieri. They won their first ever FA cup in 2021 and have won the League Cup thrice. The English side host their matches in King Power Stadium.

However, Leicester city were at 8th position last season and weren’t able to qualify for any European championship. Moreover, the club hasn’t done any promising signing from the summer transfer window. As a result, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is furious on club’s lack of interest in signing new players. Not only Brendan Rodgers, Leicester city fans all around the world are not happy with clubs no new arrivals.

The 49-years-old Brendan Rodgers is a Northern Irish former defender. And he is also currently the manager of Premier League club Leicester City. Rodgers has been coach for Chelsea, Watford, Readings, Swansea City, Liverpool, Celtic and now Leicester city. Rodgers believes in his teams keeping possession of the ball for the most os the time. And hence, playing a flowing passing and attacking game with the ball always moving. The Northern Irish manager Brendan Rodgers in under contract till the summer of 2025 at the King Power Stadium.

However, Leicester city only activity in the summer transfer window came in signing the third choice goalkeeper Alex Smithies. Rodgers said; “The communication has always been very open between myself and the board, When I spoke in February, it was clear we wanted to improve the squad. Towards the end of the season, it was clear there were going to be issues around that but still we go into the summer with the idea to improve. When I came back for pre-season, it was clear then that it would be a challenge for us. The communication is open. But certainly back then, I did not envisage we would be in the position we’re in. The game is changing all the time.”

He also said; “I don’t know the finances of the club. I run the football department. If they say we can’t sign a player, I trust the club that that’s the case.”
