Leandro Trossard and his transfer to Arsenal are in advanced talks

Arsenal Team

It’s no secret that Mikel Arteta wants to bolster his assault this winter after losing Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus to a major knee injury. Gabriel Jesus isn’t expected to make a full recovery for at least another 8 to 10 weeks. Leandro Trossard is a player drawing Arsenal’s attention.

Mykhailo Mudryk, a top target for the Gunners, was apparently close to a contract, but Chelsea reportedly snatched it up at the last minute, forcing Arteta to hunt for replacements.

Raphinha and Moussa Diaby, two attackers who have been connected to Arsenal in recent days, will both want high transfer fees in January. Therefore it appears that the North Londoners have chosen to go with a less expensive option.

Arsenal are in early negotiations to sign Leandro Trossard with Brighton, according to Fabrizio Romano. Arsenal are planning for a bid. The Belgian international has reportedly already agreed to personal terms, and the Gunners expect to close the deal shortly, according to the Italian journalist.

After a falling out, Brighton manager Roberto De Zebri benched Trossard for the team’s final two games. As a result, there are now rumors that Leandro Trossard will leave before the transfer window shuts.

Arsenal Trying Hard to Sign Leandro Trossard

In recent weeks, teams like Chelsea and Tottenham have been connected with a bid for the 28-year-old. Arsenal have closen to a deal. Their competitors are no match.

Trossard’s current deal expires in June, but Transfermarkt values him at almost £26 million. Although Brighton has the option to extend the contract by another year, a move this month seems expected. Arsenal look to sign the player at a discount since the player is frozen by his current boss.

Prior to his disagreement with De Zebri, the Belgian international was having a fantastic season. In his 16 Premier League games, he had scored 7 goals and given 3 assists. This also includes a magnificent hat-trick against Anfield.

If Trossard successfully completes his move to the Emirates Stadium, he will provide more goal threat to Arteta’s team. Trossard’s versatility will also make him a vital component of the club.

Trossard will undoubtedly depart from Arsenal’s recent strategy of acquiring young players under the age of 25 since he turns 29 this year. However, he is a player who can contribute right immediately and will support the North Londoners in keeping up their title defence this year.
