Kalvin Phillips is To Be Signed By West Ham In Exchange For Declan Rice

Flamengo is not in touch

Declan Rice may be given to Manchester City, per a report from Caught Offside, since West Ham United is eager to rekindle its interest in Kalvin Phillips.

The Fall Of Kalvin Phillips

Since Phillips’ multi-million pound transfer to the reigning champions this summer, things haven’t been easy for him. Due to Pep Guardiola publicly stating the midfielder was overweight after his return to the club after the World Cup, he has only played one minute of Premier League action.

As the London giants are considering making an offer for the midfielder, the Hammers might save Phillips from an uncertain future. They will undoubtedly lose Rice next summer, and Tomas Soucek’s inconsistency has made room in the midfield for another aggressive player.

Kalvin Phillips – IN and Declan Rice – OUT

Kalvin Phillips has drastically fallen down his hierarchy. The Citizens now look to offload him. West Ham looks to offer another player alongside Rice to lure Manchester City into handing them, Phillips. ExWHUEmployee said,

“They’ve been talking about Kalvin Phillips again in the press.”

“Kalvin Phillips is someone that West Ham, David Moyes especially, 100% rates. I know categorically, factually, that we spoke about signing him in the summer.

“I wouldn’t even be surprised if they chucked in another player potentially, but I can’t name them now. Another fringe player possibly into that deal to try and tempt West Ham.”

Arsenal also seems interested in Rice but a deal in January seems very unlikely. The Gunners will have to take a stock of the current situation. West Ham can intensify their hold in the next few days.
