Is Brendan Rodgers’s time at Leicester City over?

About Football Express UK

Brendan Rodgers’s side Leicester City has had a terrible start to the season. After eight match days, Leicester are nineteenth in the Premier League table.

Winning just one game out of eight. Rodgers had a troublesome summer window. Only two new signings were made by the foxes. Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel’s departure has haunted them.

Who will replace Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City?

According to the Sun, Brentford manager Thomas Frank tops the list to come in as head coach. Sean Dyche and even Norwich City boss Dean Smith are possible candidates.

Smith played a key role in Brentford’s rise. He then helped Villa survive relegation on the final day of his first top-flight season. Villa were impressive in the 2020-21 campaign.

Smith can be a great move for Leicester.

Former midfielder Darren Ambrose has recommended that the foxes should move for Mauricio Pochettino.

Regardless of what the future holds Leicester cannot afford to sack Brendan Rodgers as the foxes will have to splash £10 million for sacking the boss. However, Rodgers might look to overturn his situation at the club.

Leicester’s survival in the Premier League will be enough to save him from sacking.
