Gabriel Jesus has praised young Arsenal star Bukayo Saka after the match against French side RC Lens, in a 6-0 win where both Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka scored a goal for the Gunners. It was no other than Bukayo Saka who set up the goal for Jesus in the first half of the game. And providing an assist in the 21st minute, he himself scored a goal after just one minute. The duo made Arsenal comfortable with an early 3-0 lead, with one goal from Kai Havertz in the 13th minute. The 22-year-old Englishman has already become one of the best wingers of the game at such a young age. And the Brazilian clearly acknowledges his teammate’s potential to become a future star of world football.
Gabriel Jesus praises Bukayo Saka
Talking to beIN sports, Gabriel Jesus had very good words for the 22-year-old starlet. He revealed that he already knew Saka was a very good player when he played against him in Man City. But after becoming teammates the Brazilian is more fond of the winger due to his nice personality. He said to beIN sports,
“When I played against him, I already thought he had a lot of potential to achieve very good things in his career. But also, I’m more in love with him because he’s such a nice guy, so humble. I’m happy for him because he deserves it.”
Bukayo Saka now leads the Champions League in goals and assists combined this season. With the comfortable win over Lens, Arsenal have secured the knockout stage for this season. They are already leading the Premier League table and Saka has been crucial to Arsenal in both Premier League and Champions League campaigns. Arsenal legend Thierry henry recently declared him the heart of the Arsenal team along with captain Martin Ødegaard. Thus, there is no surprise that Gabriel Jesus had heaps of praise for the young winger.
