Garry Neville has explained why Manchester United aren’t selling Anthony Martial.

Manchester United

Former Manchester United player Garry Neville has explained the reason why Anthony Martial is still associated with Manchester United. United brought Martial for £36 million from Monaco back in 2016. Moreover, the club beleived that the player is young and has potential. Because of this thought process, the Red Devils made a bold move by signing Martial for that amount. Furthermore, Martial scored a staggering 17 goals in his debut season. He set the standards high for himself. That doesn’t stop here. The Frenchman went on to score 23 goals in the 2019-20 season. He was becoming one of the most promising young talents in the world at that moment.

As per unitedinfocus, Martial hasn’t been able to do any better after that 23 goal season. In order to give you an idea of the reality, he’s scored only 19 goals for United Since then. He went to Sevilla on a loan in 2022 but that also didn’t help. Moreover, he’s just scored 2 goals this season in 16 appearances across all competitions. The coaching staff and the fans beleive that they’ve had enough. The player needs to go now and maybe find another suitable clubs so that he can try to get back in form.

Garry Neville explains why United aren’t willing to let Martial go.

Garry Neville believes that Manchester United are scared of the fact that Anthony Martial may go and unlock his potential in some other club. If this happens, United would be in loss. Hence, they’re giving chance after chance to the player. Furthermore, some reports say that the French giants Paris Saint Germain are interested in the striker. There may be a possibility that player can get back his form at his home country. United should sell him in the January transfer window. Atleast they can get some monetary value from him if they do so. The club should sell him in January because his contract ends at the end of this season and he’ll leave the club for free at the end of the season.
