Future of Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea: what’s next ?

Wright Chelsea's Potter

The future is Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea looks skeptical. The blues have won just 1 match in their last 4 matches. Moreover, they are sitting at the 10th place in the league. The point difference between Chelsea and the 4th placed Manchester City is 11. It seems nearly impossible for the blues to finish at the top 4 if they play like this. Last Wednesday, Chelsea lost to Manchester United 2-1. Erik Ten Hag and his men were also having a tough time in the season. Furthermore, they had the pressure to win the game infront of their home fans at Old Trafford. Fortunately, they got the better of Chelsea, thanks to the brace from Scott Mctominay. However, that loss has been a major blow for Chelsea’s top 4 finish pursuit.

According to footballlondon, supporters are dissatisfied with Chelsea’s performance. They believe that it’s time for the Argentine coach to leave. However, the club believes otherwise. They still want to give Pochettino some more time to recover from the performance. Moreover, the club understand that he’s building a team from scratch and that too with mostly young talents. So it’s quite understandable that the process will take some time to show results.

Future of Mauricio Pochettino: what’s in for the manager in the upcoming matches.

Chelsea have another match against Everton on Sunday. Everton are just out of the relegation zone after defeating Newcastle United. Moreover, they are determined to get back stronger and it wouldn’t be easy for Chelsea to defeat them. Mauricio Pochettino has to make the changes required to win this crucial match. It’s high time now that Christopher Nkunku hasn’t made his debut. The coach is giving him more than the required recovery time. The player himself wants to make his debut. The Frenchman even wanted to play against Newcastle but was not allowed in order to get more recovery time. We think now he needs to step up for the blues as they need him now.
