Erik ten Hag is still not confident about Casemiro’s role at Manchester United. Casemiro joined the Reds from Real Madrid in January for £70 million. But yet to start a game for Manchester United in the Premier League.
Casemiro deserves a chance at Manchester United
United invested a large sum of money for the 30-year-old Brazilian. John Murtough – Director of Football at Manchester United let Erik ten hag invest a hefty amount of over £200 million in his first transfer window. One of the big signings Casemiro have struggled so far starting just two games in the Europa League. The Brazilian is yet to start a game in Premier League for the Reds Devils.
Erik ten Hag speaking at the press conference on Casemiro’s lack of playing time said,
“I’m sure Casemiro will play a really important role. We know all his background, we know all the titles he won,”
He added,
“You see every day in training, he can contribute to this team, and he will be a really important player for this team. So, we will see what will happen but I’m convinced that will happen.”
United will have to think about spending big amount on transfer in the future . As most of the previous big signings have not made a big impact at the Old Trafford. CEO Richard Arnold mentioned that the club has faced a net loss of £115.5 million from the 2021- 22 season despite of the revenues increasing by 18% to £583.2 million.
