Ander Herrera has shown support to his Ex teammate at Manchester United Marcus Rashford. The English international has been in fine form scoring five goals in 10 appearances for the Reds.
Ander Herrera says its ‘unfair’ to compare him with Messi and Ronaldo
Rashford is in good form under new manager Erik Ten Hag. His performance in the last month earned him the player of the month award for September.
Ander Herrera played five seasons from 2014-2019 for the reds. Ander Herrera knows the English men quite well. Speaking to ESPN UK he said,
” Rashford makes a difference when he’s fit and in good moment and he now has the best teacher in the team with the best example of Cristiano Ronaldo.”
He added,
” But sometimes we are not fair with some player. We are not fair with Marcus or I could give you more examples, or with Vinicius, or with these kinds of players.”
“You cannot compare them to Messi or Ronaldo because its like if the Spanish midfielders, we are compared with Xavi or Iniesta. We’re going to lose, of course. “
“You have to judge them individually .”
Rashford had a poor campaign last season with just scoring two goals for the Reds. PSG had their sights on Rashford in the summer transfer window.
Erik Ten Hag showed faith in the English forward and helped him get back to his best. With Martial injured and Ronaldo struggling to find his form Rashford has stepped up for the Reds.
