Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is improving under a new manager. United have won their last five back games losing one to Manchester City. The reds bounced back with a win against Everton on Sunday.
David De Gea is still one of the best keepers in the League
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 700th club goal against Everton. His goal turned out to be the winning goal for Manchester United. Even though the Spaniard had a good game making sure the team goes home with all three points.
David de Gea showed Erik ten Hag he can be trusted in the goal for the club. The Spaniard showed his passing qualities which ten Hag wants in a keeper. Also coming off his line to sweep the defenders away during set pieces.
The goalkeeper is never in doubt for his saves and he showed that with a late save from James Garner’s shot.
The Spaniard talking to BT Sport,
“It was great to be in goal today, with the team fighting for the three points. I’m just very focused on the games helping the team as much as I can.”
On his future, he said,
“Of course I would like to be here for more years ,so let’s see what happens in the future . I’m really , really happy here.”
Ten Hag will be happy with this performance from the Spaniard. The goalkeeper will look to add clean sheets in upcoming fixtures for the Reds.
