According to journalist Dean Jones, there are indications that Arsenal are contemplating the possibility of submitting a bid for Marc Guehi. He has also been a target for Chelsea.

In a statement to GiveMeSport, Dean Jones revealed that Arsenal has interest in securing the services of the England international, Marc Guehi. It has been ongoing for a considerable period.

Several weeks ago, reports were circulating that linked Marc Guehi with a potential return to Stamford Bridge. His initial route to the first team faced several hurdles during his previous time at Chelsea.

However, a chance arose due to the unfortunate knee injury sustained by Wesley Fofana at Chelsea. Fofana will be out of action for a substantial period. With a recovery period estimated to be around six to nine months.

What did Dean Jones say about Chelsea interest Guehi?

Given the circumstances, Chelsea found themselves in need of bolstering their defensive lineup. Marc Guehi, who is associated with Crystal Palace, was allegedly among the candidates on their radar for this purpose.

Nevertheless, Dean Jones has conveyed that Arsenal is also evaluating the possibility of bringing Chelsea interest Marc Guehi to the club during this summer transfer window.

“The Marc Guehi interest has been there for a while. I don’t know that it necessarily would combine well with any interest from Takehiro Tomiyasu from Palace because Palace have no intention to lose Guehi and value him very, very highly.”

Chelsea pursuit of signing Marc Guehi might have waned following their announcement of the acquisition of Axel Disasi. Disasi made a notable debut by scoring a goal against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
