Casemiro’s move to Manchester United ‘delayed due to visa issue’

Manchester United have officially announced their new signing of Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro in the transfer window this summer.

The Brazilian international will don the Red Devils outfit for the new season under manager Erik ten Hag this summer. The player was set to get his medicals in place earlier during the weekend to get the clearance and join the squad.

However, Casemiro is dealing with issues with his visa due to which there has been a delay. Moreover, Casemiro may only arrive sometime later this week or next week at the earliest with the clearance of visa.

Manchester United announce their new signing

Manchester United have been linked with many players during the transfer window this summer as ten Hag wanted a revolution. However, with United having a dismal start to their Premier League campaign, the boss will need to make more signings.

Losing two of their first two matches in the league has given the Dutchman a reality check for the season. The 4-0 loss to Brentford has made the gaffer make a new signing in the midfield this summer.

United took to their official website to announce their new signing. It stated-

“The transfer is subject to the agreement of personal terms, UK visa requirements and a medical. Casemiro has played over 500 professional games, including 63 at international level for his native Brazil.

“He has won 17 major honours in his illustrious career including five Champions League titles and the Copa America. We all look forward to welcoming Casemiro to Old Trafford.”

The Red Devils clash with Liverpool on Monday and will hope to give their everything to win the three points. Moreover, United will face a real test at home at Old Trafford and will push to win their first game this season.
