Bayern Munich, Real Madrid close to signing Rudiger!?

About Football Express UK

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are both fond of signing Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea. His current contract ends next summer. If his contract is not renewed then he will be a free agent.

Chelsea would not want to lose him on a free transfer. The Blues are hesitant to agree with a €550k weekly contract with Rudiger’s agents. According to ESPN, Bayern and Real Madrid are looking to sign Rudiger on a free transfer. The German international is willing to stay at Chelsea if his financial demands are met.

Are Bayern Munich an underlooked  giant in Europe?

The Bavarians won the UCL in the 2019/20 season defeating PSG in the final. Robert Lewandowski had a brilliant individual season in 2020. He scored 14 UCL goals and in the following season broke the league record. The Polish international not only helped his team to win the league title but also scored 41 goals. Lewandowski broke Gerd Muller’s record of 40 goals.

In 2019/20, Bayern Munich players dominated the entire campaign. Kimmich won defender of the season, Lewandowski won forward of the season. The former manager Hansi Flick won manager of the season and also won 5 trophies with the team.

In the following season, Bayern Munich fell short against PSG. They were missing Lewandowski and Gnabry. Bayern Munich doesn’t have great squad depth but has world-class players in their starting XI. This season Jamal Musiala has made a breakthrough. He is a very talented, technical player and is excellent at dribbling. The youngster is a viable midfield asset.

Leroy Sane had a slow start in his first season but is picking up the pace. Bayern Munich also signed Upamecano and he is proving to be solid for them. The absence of Davies is felt in the team but Lucas Hernandez is a great option as well.

Altogether Bayern is also capable of contending for the UCL title.
