For a chance to advance to the semi-finals, where they would need to defeat either Real Madrid or Chelsea to reach the final, Bayern and City, two of the favourites to win the entire competition, will square off against one another.
Salihamidzic was quick to note out how effectively the Bundesliga handled Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Paris Saint-Germain in the last round, despite the fact that it is a difficult path for Bayern.
“I like playing against the best guys,” Salihamidzic said. “Our boys are very focused then.”
