Aston Villa midfielder wants to leave after just one season

Morgan Sanson

Morgon Sanson signed for Aston Villa from Marseille in January 2021 for £14m with the fee rising to £15.5m add-ons.

Morgon Sanson unhappy with the lack of playing time

According to a report from Jeunes Footeux, Morgon Sanson is unhappy with not having enough playing time. The Frenchman thinks his situation can’t be changed and wants an exit from the club in January.

The former Marseille player has not been involved in any of the ten matches. Steven Gerrard has left him on the bench for the last four games. He was not a part of the squad for six matches.

Even though the French men have not shown his potential there are Championship and Ligue 1 clubs interested in the 28-year-old midfielder.

In addition, Lille and Strasbourg are the clubs who have shown interest in the midfielder. It’s reported that Strasbourg are working to take Morgan Sanson on loan in January.

Swansea City and Sunderland AFC are looking to sign the Villa midfielder on loan in the winter market. Margon will look to play for a Ligue 1 club after not getting enough chances in the Premier League.
