Guardiola next club selected, as the Man City turmoil and the Haaland rift spark talk of a historic move,

City

According to rumours, a true heavyweight of the game is “preparing an offer” to oust Pep Guardiola from Man City in light of the significant concerns about his relationship with Erling Haaland and the continuing inquiry into the club’s finances.

The Premier League on Monday accused Man City of a staggering 115 Financial Fair Play violations. The EPL provided a list of the alleged violations here.

Man City has claimed time and time again that they are not at fault and fully intends to fight the matter.

However, if the accusations are confirmed, there could be a variety of penalties, from simple fines to a loss of points or even expulsion from the Premier League.

The problems at City look to be affecting the football side of the business, as rumours about Erling Haaland’s and Pep Guardiola futures are starting to circulate.

Pep and Haaland relationship

According to recent sources in Spain, Haaland’s relationship with his management is “bad.” Guardiola’s apparent lack of interest in signing Haaland, who represents a significant departure from the false nine strategy that has served him so well at the Etihad, has also been highlighted.

According to the report, Haaland anticipates facing one of Spain’s top two teams in LaLiga for his next challenge.

However, Haaland isn’t the only topic of discussion when it comes to a crucial Man City departure. The Express and FourFourTwo both promote the notion that Guardiola could be lured away by PSG, a French powerhouse.

The former reports that PSG is “preparing an offer for Guardiola, hopeful that he is a man of his word and quits City if they are found guilty of financial rule-breaking,” according to information from L’Equipe.
That is in response to Guardiola’s earlier remarks, in which he maintained he would leave City if the team misled him about their business transactions.

Last May, Guardiola stated:

“Why did I defend the club and the people? It’s because I work with them. When they are accused of something I ask them: ‘Tell me about that.’ They explain and I believe them.

“I said to them: ‘If you lie to me, the day after I am not here. Will be out and I will not be your friend any more. I put my faith in you because I believe you 100% from day one and I defend the club because of that.

Guardiola to move to PSG?

There won’t be a shortage of suitors for Guardiola if he decides to hang up his job. He will leave City, and PSG appears eager to snag him first.

They are now under Christophe Galtier’s management and are in position to win another Ligue 1 championship. However, they recently lost to Marseille in the French Cup semifinals, and they have already lost three games in 2023.

Additionally, PSG will have the difficult task of facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League Round of 16. An early departure to Bayern could be devastating for Galtier at the conclusion of the season. Because the UCL has become an obsession in Paris.

Guardiola would complete a historic reunion with Lionel Messi if PSG were successful in luring him away.

Although he has a one-year extension option in his current contract, the Argentine legend will be a free agent in the summer.

Under Guardiola’s tutelage from 2008 to 2012, Messi grew into the world-renowned superstar he is today.

Messi’s first four or seven Ballon d’Or victories (2009–12) occurred at Camp Nou under Guardiola.
