Reputed football journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Arsenal will be looking forward to gathering reinforcements in Winter to prepare for a title charge. Some reports suggest that Mikel Arteta will be provided a hefty budget to secure signings in their midfield and attack.

Mudryk’s recent comments have sent the rumor mill into overdrive. He said:

“From a purely hypothetical perspective if there was the option of being a bench player for Real Madrid or a starter for Arsenal, I’d probably choose Arsenal,”

“I check on them on MyScore and know I can check on them when they’re playing. I also watch them too. They are a very dynamic side, in general not just in controlling possession but also in scoring goals.”

Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Mudryk. He praised the 21-year-old’s work ethic and mentality and considered him as one of the best young players in Europe.

Where does Mykhaylo Mudryk fit in at Arsenal?

Mudryk primarily plays as a left-sided forward for Shakhtar Donetsk. Known for his pace and technical ability, the Ukrainian international has impressed in several showings at the Champions League.

Arsenal already possesses one of the strongest attacks in the Premier League. The front three of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka have had over 30 goal contributions between them. Mudryk’s transfer would provide the Arsenal attack depth and strong competition. Also, Mudryk would join fellow Ukrainian Oleksander Zinchenko should he make the transfer.
