Arsenal will struggle to sign both Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo in the next summer transfer window. However, they could also sign one of them.
Although, both of them will cost the Gunners 200 million in transfer fee. Hence, the Gunners will have to manage Financial Fair Play this summer.
ARSENAL WILL STRUGGLE TO SIGN BOTH DECLAN RICE AND MOISES CAICEDO
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has claimed Arsenal will find it difficult to sign Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo in the next summer. However, they will have the money to sign one of them . This comments come after a number of reports claimed that the Gunners are looking to sign both of them. Hence, Dharmesh Sheth has given an update on the situation.
However, Dharmesh Sheth has said it is near to impossible for Arsenal to sign both of them in the same window. He further said, “It would be very, very difficult to get both. “I’ve always said they would be in the market for both. But I just wonder if they were to bring in someone like Declan Rice, who would cost more than £60m-£80m depending on whom you listen to. Therefore, if you listen to West Ham, he’s a £100m player. “Hence, both of them might get overpriced for the Gunners.
THE GUNNERS PREFER THE ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL
According to reports, Arsenal have made Declan Rice the priority signing. Hence, they prefer signing him over Moises Caicedo. The report also claims that he will cost less than Moises Caicedo. This is despite the demand of 100 million from West Ham for their captain. However, one thing to remember is that Declan Rice contract is going to expire in the 2024 summer transfer window.
A report also claims that the midfielder has also rejected multiple contract extensions. Hence, the Hammers will have to sell him to Arsenal in this summer. Whereas, Moises Caicedo has recently signed a new contract with Brighton until 2027. Hence, the Seagulls are not in a hurry. Whereas, they are also going to ask a fee of 90 million for their star midfielder.
Hence, there is a chance that Arsenal will have the chance to sign Declan Rice for 75 million in the next summer transfer window. Therefore, signing Caicedo for 90 million does not make sense. They can use the money saved on Caicedo to sign other players for strengthening other positions.
