Arsenal should try to sell Folarin Balogun in the next summer says Gabriel Agbonlahor

Arsenal should try to sell Folarin Balogun in the next summer transfer window. Aston Villa legend Gabriel Agbonlahor has made the suggestion to Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are going to have a discussion on his future before the start of the next season. They already have Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus as their striker options.

ARSENAL SHOULD TRY TO SELL THE YOUNG STRIKER IN THE NEXT SUMMER

According to Gabriel Agbonlahor, Arsenal must try and sell Folarin Balogun in the next summer transfer window. The striker is currently one of the highest goal scorers in Ligue 1 this season. He is currently on loan with Reims. However, the Aston Villa legend has said that Balogun does not have the capability to start ahead of Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus.

Gabriel Agbonlahor further speaking on the young Arsenal striker said, “He’s done well in France, but I don’t think he’s Arsenal standard. They’re going to be in the Champions League next season, they need another proven striker to compete with [Eddie] Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus. “I don’t think Arsenal would use him next season if he came back. Him scoring goals in France has helped the club. “Now they can put him up for sale and name their price. It’s definitely a sale waiting for Arsenal to make.”

RB LEIPZIG AND AC MILAN ARE CURRENTLY LEADING THE RACE FOR HIS SIGNATURE

According to reports in Italy, RB Leipzig and AC Milan are currently leading the race for his signature. The Bundesliga team see him as a long-term replacement of Christopher Nkunku. Whereas, AC Milan see the Arsenal striker as a potential long-term replacement of Zlatan and Oliver Giroud. The Italian giants also want to sell Divock Origi in the next summer.

A report also claims that Arsenal are going to demand 40 million for Balogun. However, they have the chance to earn more from his sale because of a bidding war. They want to sign an experienced striker in place of him. Hence, the sale of Folarin Balogun would help them extend their summer transfer budget for the next season.

Arsenal already have Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah on their books as striker options. Whereas, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli also can play as striker. Hence, it is better that Folarin Balogun leaves the club in the next summer transfer window for regular game time.
