Arsenal will face Liverpool on matchday 12. The Scousers lost their last league game against West Ham. This implies that Klopp and Liverpool will try their best to maintain their lead.
Arsenal on the other hand won their last league game against Brentford. The Gooners started the season with three terrible losses, including a humiliating loss at the Etihad. But Mikel Arteta and the team made a comeback. After much hard work, they are now 5th in the table just 2 points below Liverpool.
How will Arsenal lineup against Liverpool?
Backline
Aaron Ramsdale will certainly start ahead of Bernd Leno. Ramsdale has been impressive in his first 7 games with Arsenal.
Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White will start as centre-backs and Tomiyasu will be the right-back. Arteta has to make an important choice between Nuno Tavares and Tierney. Nuno Tavares is playing well for The Gooners but Tierney has more experience. It is expected that Arteta will choose Tierney.
Midfield
Two sure starters in midfield for Arsenal are Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka. These two are talented youngsters who have shown their brilliance on and off. It is unsure as of now whether Thomas Partey will start. If he is not injured then he will start alongside Lokonga.
Attack
Aubameyang will surely start in such an important game, especially against Liverpool. Alexandre Lacazzete seems to be rested but there is also one more viable option.
Martin Odegaard is also a great option and can maybe play for a few minutes. He is also an attacking midfielder like ESR and Lacazzete. As of now, Arteta will play Lacazzete but surely Odegaard will take his spot soon.
Predicted lineup for Arsenal against Liverpool.
Injuries for Arsenal and Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp will have to make the best of what he’s left with because of injury-ridden players. The squad will miss out on many usual starting players.
Roberto Firmino is already out with a serious hamstring injury. Joe Gomez, James Milner, Keita and Curtis Jones are also doubtful to start.
On top of this Liverpool stars, Mane and Henderson are potentially on the injury list.
Klopp will face issues but at the Emirates, things are much calmer. The only doubtful player for Arsenal is Sead Kolosinac who was injured during the international break.
