Rami Shaaban did not receive his invincible medal

The Swedish goalkeeper spent two seasons with the gunners from 2002 to 2004. Shaaban made five appearances in these two seasons after being loaned to West Ham midway through the season.

Hence, he did not receive his medal as he was playing for West Ham. In 2012 after retiring from the sport, Shaaban started his own business of selling fruits and vegetables in his country Sweden.

In addition, Shaaban’s family provides products from a farm in Egypt where they originally come from.

Shaaban joined the Gunners in 2002 from Djurgarden. Shaaban still follows Arsenal after leaving the club back in 2004. After Arsenal’s victory against Tottenham, he posted on Instagram sharing a pic of Henry’s knee slide and said,

“It’s this kind of day.”

After his loan spell with the Hammers, he joined Brighton & Hove Albion. He later returned to the Norwegian side Fredrikstad. He ended his career with Hammarby a Sweden side. Shaaban has 16 appearances for his country including one in the 2006 World Cup.
