Arsenal have identified Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino as one of the targets

About Football Express UK

Journalist Ryan Taylor has told that Arsenal have scouted Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino as their alternative target as they couldn’t get Mykhaylo Mudryk. The Gunners wanted to sign a winger in the winter transfer window and want to manage it somehow.

It appeared fairly certain for a while that Mudryk would fill that gap. He has since relocated. Since then, there have been plenty of names considered. Shortly after it appeared like Mudryk would be moving to Chelsea, Arsenal started looking for options. Sport Italia reported that talks had begun over a trade for Raphinha.

Arsenal have scouted Yeremy Pino

Yeremy has only scored twice in La Liga this season for Villarreal, which is not particularly impressive. And Taylor made it known that he is unsure if he will be permitted to transfer this month.

He did mention that Arsenal are fans though.

Give Me Sport told,

There are other names as well that I would expect to enter the fray. Yeremy Pino’s a player that’s been scouted.

What I would say about him is, although he’s a player with very high potential, he hasn’t quite performed to the heights that he did last season.”

And also, with Danjuma set to depart Villarreal, I don’t think they would really be keen to lose both of those players, despite the encouragement towards (Arnaut) Danjuma to look at other options.

Will this work for the Gunners?

For Mikel Arteta, Yeremy would fulfill a number of requirements. He is able to play all over the front line. And with only 20 years old, he still has plenty of time to make significant progress.

The international player for Spain has previously been described as a “exceptional” talent. And over the summer, Fabrizio Romano said he would cost about £42 million. He would therefore be far less expensive than some of their other targets.

And after a less stellar season, you’d think that Arsenal making a move would give him a great confidence boost.

Making an offer when a player is suffering can be a smart method to acquire a really talented potential for a lot more affordable price, however, it is undoubtedly not always a sensible strategy.
