Arsenal have agreed on personal terms with Youri Tielemans

Arsenal are edging closer to signing Youri Tielemans from Leicester as they agree on personal terms with the Belgian. This would be Arsenal’s sixth signing of the summer. They went on a shopping spree this season and this was reported by the Express. The Gunners now have signed goalkeeper Matt Turner, left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, forward Gabriel Jesus, midfielder Fabio Viera, and winger Marquinhos.

However, Mikel Arteta is still not satisfied and intends to sign yet another midfielder to provide competition to Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, and Mohamed Elneny. Arsenal was strongly linked with Tielemans throughout the summer. Therefore, now it appears that the 25-year-old is menacingly close to signing a deal with the London club.

CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal have not yet made an offer to the Belgian. However, they have agreed on personal terms with the player and are eager to sign him this summer.

Tielemans could soon sign a deal with Arsenal

Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT,”As Leicester have said and as I’ve said repeatedly, Arsenal have never made an offer for Youri Tielemans.” “What they have done is gone to the player and agreed on personal terms, broadly speaking.” “What they do know is that Tielemans would like to move to Arsenal.”

Arsenal have not yet forwarded an offer for Tielemans but they have agreed on personal terms. Therefore, they seriously intend to acquire him in this transfer market. The Gunners have gone for the Belgian in the latter half of the transfer window in order to boil down Leicester’s asking price, as he has only a year left on his contract.

The Express states that the Foxes demand £ 30 million for the player. However, Arsenal would try to lower that asking price after they go for him next month. Tielemans currently shows no signs of extending his contract. Therefore, Leicester would try to squeeze any amount that they can. Otherwise, they have to lose Tielemans for free next year.
