Arsenal defender William Saliba will reportedly miss the game against West Ham. However, striker Eddie Nketiah is available for selection.
Hence, it looks like Rob Holding will start against the Hammers. The Gunners are currently six points ahead of Manchester City on the top of the table.
ARSENAL DEFENDER TO MISS ANOTHER GAME DUE TO INJURY
According to reports, Arsenal center-back William Saliba will miss the game against West Ham. The defender was also not pictured in training. Hence, it looks like Rob Holding will start the game. Rob Holding has started all the games since Saliba’s injury against Sporting C.P. Hence, it looks like the Gunners have got more hurt with Saliba injury than the Europa League loss.
Arsenal will hope that Saliba returns to full fitness before the biggest game of the season against Manchester City. Hence, it is likely that Mikel Arteta will not take a risk on his injury against Southampton in their next Premier League match. However, the good news for the Gunners fans and Mikel Arteta is that Eddie Nketiah is now fit for the rest of the season.
EDDIE NKETIAH IS NOW FIT FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON
Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah was pictured in the training. Hence, there is a chance that he will likely have an impact from the bench. The return of the striker also increases the squad depth for the rest of the season. Hence, they currently only have William Saliba and Takheiro Tomiyasu on the treatment table. This also means that Mikel Arteta has plenty of options to select from for the rest of the season.
Arsenal manager is likely to start the same team that started against Liverpool. Hence, Eddie Nketiah will likely make an impact from the bench. Gabriel Jesus has done well in the striker position. The Brazilian striker has scored 3 goals in last 2 matches for the Gunners. Whereas, Eddie Nketiah was struggling to score goals before getting injured.
Eddie Nketiah will provide the Arsenal team with a different dynamism. Therefore, he will have an important role to play from the bench. Whereas, Mikel Arteta will hope that William Saliba has some sort of role to play against Manchester City.
