Arsenal Team

Arsenal are ready to part ways with Nuno Tavare this summer. Arsenal have reduced their asking price inorder to cut ties with the defender. The move to the Emirates quite hasn’t worked out for Tavares. Their were many disciplinary issues against him and Arteta did not favour him in the playing 11. He is a different type of player to what Arteta is after this window.

Arsenal ready to accept low fee for Nuno Tavares

Arsenal are apparently reduced their fee from €35 million to approx €10 million now. The report further claimed that Arsenal are prepared to let him go for just £7 million. The exact amount they paid to sign him from Benfica two years ago. A player’s valuation dropping from £35 million to £7 million in less than a year’s time. That is just shocking, but that’s the situation Arsenal have found themselves in right now.

A report from Portuguese outlet Record claimed this week that West Ham United are interested in signing Nuno Tavares from Arsenal this summer. But Arsenal would like to sell him to someone abroad. A possible move to Italy is wide open.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shown that he will not tolerate any disruptive influences at Arsenal. He may have to deal with another issue on Nuno Tavares. Mikel Arteta has had to show his tough side in eradicating bad influences from the Arsenal dressing roomin the past. It appears he may have his work cut out again this summer when Nuno Tavares returns. The Portuguese full-back has spent the season on loan with Ligue 1 outfit Marseille, but the defneder faces an uncertain future after his temporary stint in France took a turn amid reported concerns over his attitude.

Recent reports about his loan spell in French media have been more negative and it is claimed by the French publication that staff are ‘annoyed with his efforts’. However the decision won’t favour Tavares. It more likely that he would go to Italy for a permanent deal this summer.
