Arsenal to pip Aston Villa and Manchester United in signing Bassey

In spectacular news, Bassey has taken a flight to London yesterday to discuss his future. The talented youngster is said to have flown from Glasgow to Gatwick as interest in him increased.

If the news is to be trusted, then he would not be playing for his current team in a friendly against Blackpool.

Although the officials from both United and Villa could easily fly to London. Therefore, the choice of destination indicates that Bassey’s interest is in Arsenal which have its bases in North London. If any concrete agreement could be reached, Arteta’s team would have shell out approximately £25million. As this is the price that the Rangers are asking for their defender.
