The Secret Scout reported that both Arsenal and Manchester United have now set their eyes on Aston Villa target Calvin Bassey.
Bassey has been identified as a prominent target for the Gunners and the Red Devils in the transfer market this season by prominent news outlets. Bassey has been impressive with the Rangers at Glasgow last season. This increased interest from both these Premier League teams has come amidst interest from Steven Gerrard.
Bassey featured in 50 games across all competitions for Rangers the previous season. He succeeded in getting six assists en route to the Europa League final. However, they lost the final to Frankfurt.
Though, the Nigerian international was scintillating from an individual point of view. This has attracted the interest of elite clubs of Europe including Ajax.

All this point to the Gunners having an edge over the Red Devils and the East Midlands club at this moment.
