Manchester United

Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo is set to leave the club in January. Although the player was exceptional during his loan at Sunderland, he’s still not in Erik Ten Hag’s future plans. Moreover, he can go on another loan spell in the new season. After just 2 days of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s arrival, the preparations for the 2nd half of the season has begun. Ten Hag is making the changes required. We are going to see many player leave on a temporary or permanent basis in January. Amad Diallo is the first one to leave. Even after scoring 14 goals for Sunderland in 39 appearances, the 21 year old hasn’t been able to win the trust of Erik Ten Hag.

According to caughtoffside, the 21 year old Ivorian forward hasn’t been able to make his mark at the Old Trafford till now. However, people believed that he’s going to be a useful signing for the Red Devils. He was seen as a future star for Manchester United post his arrival. The club is having a tough time this season and they need established and experienced players to help them. Diallo on the other hand, is on his way to become an established player and has less experience. We think that’s why Ten Hag wants to loan him out again in order to help him get some experience somewhere else.

Amad Diallo should get some regular playing time irrespective of the league level.

As we’ve already witnessed, Diallo had a wonderful spell at Sunderland this season at the championship. He scored 14 goals in 39 appearances for the club. Now if he is loaned out again, he should prefer playing for a championship side. To be more precise, Southampton are currently at the 4th place at the Championship and look like a perfect for the youngster. He’ll get regular playing time there and the club can aim to get back to the premier league with his contribution.
