Tottenham Hotspur striker Alejo Veliz has been linked with a move back to Argentina. This is to join River Plate on loan until the summer.Spurs are expected to be active in the January transfer window which will open soon.

All eyes, as always, will be on incomings. But there are a few players who could leave the club as well. Tottenham youngster Veliz is being eyed by a few clubs to sign on loan this window.

Alejo Veliz eager to be back at his hometown from Tottenham

Alejo Veliz is a player with very huge potential. The ‘dynamite‘ Argentinian is still just 20 years young. He has a lot of talent and the quality to become a real star. This is ofcourse in the coming years. But, he needs to play games in order to become a beast.

Veliz is unlikely to get any significant game time at Tottenham. This is ofcourse until the end of the season. That is not ideal at all with all the players they have. So, a loan move next month makes a lot of sense for both parties.

A return to Argentina may be appealing to Veliz. But we think a move to a top club, where the level of competition is much higher, would be better for him as a whole. Serie A side Bologna are said to be interested in the talented youngster.

Tottenham signed Alejo Veliz from Argentinian side Rosario Central. This is ofcourse in the summer for £13 million. The 20-year-old was always viewed as one for the future at the club.

After he signed that Ange Postecoglou made it clear he is unlikely to get any minutes in the first half of the season at the club. However, Veliz has made six appearances for Tottenham in the Premier League. But reports have claimed he is disappointed about his lack of game time. And would love to leave on loan next month.
