Tottenham have reportedly set their eyes on Genoa talent and defender Radu Dragusin. According to sources, Spurs are one of several Premier League teams eyeing the talented 21-year-old centre-back.
As well as Tottenham, the likes of Newcastle and Brighton are also in pursuit of Dragusin. He has already won nine caps for Romania which is massive considering his age.
Spurs could certainly do with bolstering their defensive ranks. This is in the wake of what happened against Chelsea and Wolves the last 2 weekends.
Radu Dragusin would be a great fit for Tottenham
In the loss to Chelsea, Micky van de Ven was injured and Cristian Romero was sent off. And neither was available for the following game.
Dragusin reportedly has a £25million price tag. Which is very affordable for a leading Premier League club like Tottenham this season. It will be easy for them to convince him as they are playing their best football in years.
Dragusin is more than a decent shout for Spurs. He is a very talented young player. He has been doing well for Genoa in Serie A and looks like he has a high ceiling and a bright future
Goal.com– albeit another article – labelled him the ‘Romanian Van Dijk’ and he surely looks like one.
The nine-cap Romania international is strong in the air. He is comfortable with the ball at his feet, and possesses strong energy levels throughout the game.
The drop-off in quality at the back was noticeable in the last game. This is before the international break, which Spurs also lost.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will likely want to increase his strength in depth during the January transfer window.
