Three managers who could replace Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea

Pochettino

Chelsea have been extremely underperforming this season. The Blues are struggling to be consistent with the results. Chelsea have defeated Tottenham, drawn against City and Arsenal, but have lost to Newcastle and Aston Villa. After a win against Spurs and a thrilling draw against current champions Man City, it looked like Chelsea are regaining form. But then they went and lost to Newcastle 4-1. Results like these from a club like Chelsea certainly raise questions for the Man in charge. Mauricio Pochettino assumed the charge of Chelsea in July 2023, just at the starting of the season, but since his appointment from PSG, the Argentine has struggled to get consistent results in the Premier League. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are backing Mauricio Pochettino as of now, he said,

“The feedback is still the same on Chelsea’s side, and they trust Mauricio Pochettino. They believe he is the right man for this project. It’s a young team, and they need time. His job is not at risk at this point.”

However, Football.london has shortlisted three managers available who can be a good replacement for Mauricio Pochettino in Chelsea.

Julen Lopetegui

The former Europa League winner is available since his departure from Wolves in August. Lopetegui also won the European Under-19 Championship and European Under-21 Championship with Spain National team. Lopetegui has a 57 percent win percentage over his club and international career, whereas, Pochettino has only managed a 48 percent win percentage with a substantially shorter career than the Spaniard.

Hansi Flick

Hansi flick was the best manager of 2020, with dominating the Bundesliga and winning treble with Bayern. He has won one DFB Pokal and DFB Supercup as well with the Bavarians. Flick was appointed as the German national team manager but has been sacked from the position and remains available right now.

Joachim Low

The FIFA World Cup 2014 coach of the year with Germany is a World Cup winning manager. He has not coached a club side for almost a decade but the manager has proved himself in international football for 17 years.

These are some viable options for Chelsea to replace Mauricio Pochettino, if it comes to that.
