Spurs boss says he’s not interested in any discussions around Kane and his future amid interests from Bayern Munich looking for a replacement for their premier striker Lewandowski in case he leaves for Barcelona.

Lewandowski was in excellent form last season, scoring 50 goals in just 46 appearances. The Bavarian club feels Kane can be the perfect replacement for the Polish international.

Romano claims that the North London club is planning to open talks with Harry Kane over a new contract that ensures a longer stay for him in the club. Kane came close to a departure from North London last year with City trying to bring the England Captain to the Etihad. Kane scored 27 goals in 50 matches for Spurs in all competitions. He also made 10 assists. It included 17 goals and 9 assists in the EPL. He helped Antonio Conte’s side finish fourth on the table.

Kane believes Spurs can get him silverware

Last year, the motivation for transfer talks between Kane and Manchester City was mostly due to the striker looking for more silverware. He wanted to compete in the best of leagues. However, he now is confident that the side, under Conte can compete with the best.

Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, and Clement Lenglet have all arrived at North London this summer. It is believed that the club are still in the market for more new signings. Kane’s current contract at Spurs is set to expire in June of 2024. The proposed new agreement would likely take the English international late into his 30s.

The striker has netted the ball on 248 occasions in 386 matches for Spurs in all competitions. In addition to that, he has contributed 59 assists.
