Arsenal have submitted an €80million (£69.6m) bid for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice ahead of the summer window. This is according to Sky Sports Germany. New news came in recently that Bayern Munich are also interested in the midfielder. That might be the reason which made Arsenal to make the first move. Sky Germany now are interested in this saga as well. Arsenal need to move quickly. West Ham and Rice have given their word during their previous meetings.
The Declan Rice and Arsenal saga continues as it’s reaching the final stages soon
The Hammers club captain looks set to leave West Ham this summer. In his search of Champions League football, Arsenal have been earmarked as the favourites to sign him. Bayern Munich, Manchester United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea have all emerged as strong potential suitors. They are believed to be holding out for a fee of £100m-plus for his services.
And according to Sky Sports Germany reporting on their live blog the Gunners have already made an opening offer. Arsenal have submitted an €80million (£69m) to West Ham United which should be rejected out of hand by the Hammers.
Arsenal were already looking to bolster their midfield so losing Xhaka will possibly mean two new arrivals in the engine department. West Ham star Declan Rice and Brighton ace Moises Caicedo are top of the shopping list. The rumours say that the deal will cost up to €80 million. Rice is keen on a move to a Champions League team. He dreams of winning the Premier League and the Champions League.
Being young Rice could develop into a beast under Arteta. However, Thomas Partey has been one of the best Defensive Midfielders this season.
Interest in Rice is certainly rife right now, with Bayern Munich the latest club to be joining the hunt. How the West Ham United faithful would love to see the England international move on abroad rather than any of their capital rivals.
However, the Hammers bosses won’t be happy one bit about this £69.6m bid for Rice. When Arsenal know he costs well above that figure, which is certainly an insult to the club and also to the player.
