In the recent years Romelu Lukaku had been a problematic player for both Chelsea and Inter Milan . After the 2022 world cup his form has been dropped heavily. Neither Chelsea fans nor Inter Milan fans want him. Now that the ship is sinking for him , he is pushing himself towards Roma who are ready to pay his full wages.
Chelsea’s current scenario
Chelsea are currently stuck with the Belgian as no club is ready to pay his full wages. After a record breaking season with Inter Milan , the big man joined Chelsea in 2021 with high expectations. Back then the blues needed a proper striker who can bring the glory to the team. Seeing his performance fans were very pleased and club was very confident that he can finally break the NO 9 curse .
But just after a few months, Lukaku shocked the fans by saying that he wants to return to Inter Milan.
Club and the fans were very disappointed for the statement. Lukaku had been going through poor form from then. The club wants to sell the Belgian , but no club in showing any interest in him.
Recently Jose Mourinho’s Roma is showing heavy interest in him, and they are pushing heavily towards this deal.
Why Roma is interested in Lukaku?
This seems like it is the call of the “Special One”, lukaku can revive his career under Jose Mourinho. He had played under Mourinho in his Manchester United days and Chelsea days. Lukaku has great physical abilities, close ball control , clinical finishing and a great adjusting ability . Since Jose has played with the man , he is thinking Lukaku might be the one who will help Roma to establish them as European giants and help them regain their Old Glory.

Seeing his poor performance in recent World Cup and club games no clubs are interested at all in him. Juventus and Ac Milan were showing interested in the Belgian . But when Juventus fans heard this news they invaded into the pitch during a practice game. Neither Chelsea want to keep him nor any other club. But recently , the Italian giants Roma has showing interest in the Belgian. According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italy , AS Roma are ready to pay 100% of his wages.
According to reports, Chelsea is seeking around £40 million for Lukaku and had previously declined a £26 million bid from Inter Milan earlier this summer. It will be quite intriguing to discover where the significant individual will end up and what his future may hold.
