Declan Rice became Arsenal most expensive signing ever this summer. The midfielder joined the Gunners for £105m,
And to say that he’s hit the ground running at the Emirates would be an understatement.
Indeed, Rice has been brilliant since signing for Arsenal, and speaking on BBC 606,
Robbie Savage has claimed that Rice’s value has skyrocketed again since joining Arsenal alongside his importance to the team.
According to Savage, Rice is already now worth more than Arsenal paid for him,
While he’s also becoming Arsenal’s most important player ahead of someone like Bukayo Saka.
Rice has become a most important player for Arsenal
Savage shared his verdict on Rice.
“I’m going to say Rodri is Man City’s most important player, and I think Declan Rice could be becoming Arsenal’s most important player, Saka, Martinelli, Saliba, Arsenal have some fantastic players,
But if you look at the team, Rice could be a pivotal player in winning trophies for years to come,” Savage said.
“What would he be worth now? If Arsenal were to sell Rice, it’s a hypothetical, what would he be worth now?” Savage asked.
“What is he worth? I would say he’s worth more than what Gunners paid for him.”
It’s hard to put a price on Rice right now, because, in all honesty, nobody can afford to go and sign him.
He’s one of Arsenal’s most important players now, and the Gunners probably wouldn’t sell him for anything other than a world-record fee at this point.
Even then, Arsenal would be hesitant to let Rice go so soon after spending such a big fee on him,
And it’s genuinely hard to see what his next step could be if he were to ever think about leaving Arsenal.
It really wouldn’t surprise us at this point if Rice were to spend the entirety of the rest of his career with Gunners, because he’s truly invaluable to that club.
