Pochettino to unleash the new “N Golo Kante” on Thomas Tuchel’s advice ahead of Arsenal clash

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino to unleash the new Golo Kante of Chelsea against Arsenal. He isn’t in the same category as those mentioned like Kante, but he was once compared to Kante. At the time it was a throwaway line from previous manager Thomas Tuchel. However, with respect to time he has done some serious improvements.

That player is none othcer than Conor Gallagher.

Pochettino to unleash new Kante:

“N’Golo Kante is out, and Conor is more or less the same profile,

the German said reluctantly around 13 months ago when discussing his options in the centre of the park. That was about as complimentary as Tuchel got with Gallagher. Perhaps if he had put more time and work into actually developing the closest thing Chelsea had to a Kante replacement then he would have gotten more rewards.

Instead, Gallagher was placed into Kante’s double-six position. However, he then clearly lacked the discipline or certainty, the control or technical skill at the time for the role. Now under Mauricio Pochettino, he has got much support around him. Now Gallagher is not so much the new incarnation of Kante but he is proving that he is such a good player on his own.

“For me, Conor Gallagher is like N’Golo Kante with goals,” Tony Cascarino said in 2021.

Kante is a brilliant player, he does so many good things for the side, but he has never got goals, and I see that in Conor Gallagher.”

The fact that Gallagher is actually yet to contribute to a goal this term but remains integral to the side is a credit to his impact and work. So maybe Gallagher is the new Kante whom Pochettino is going to unleash against Arsenal clash.

When he [Tuchel] said it, it did make me laugh and surprise me a little bit,” Gallagher joked when asked about the comparison made.

“It’s obviously a massive compliment, even if I’m half the player Kante is because I feel like he’s the best midfielder in the world, probably still now when he’s fit.

“We are obviously different players. He probably gets around a bit more than me, he’s a bit sharper than me. So yeah, we’re different players.”

However, Gallagher has made a fine start this season. Hence, it might conclude him being a much better version of his own gradually. So, we’ll see Pochettino to unleash Gallagher as the new version of Kante ahead Arsenal clash.
