About Football Express UK

Manchester City are set to clash against newly promoted Premier League side Nottingham Forest in their fifth fixture this season.

The Cityzens have started off their campaign just the way they would have expected standing second just behind Arsenal in the points table. Pep Guardiola and his men are using all their understanding on the pitch to win the three points in matches.

However, some players have endured injuries during the fixtures and sidelined to recover as earlier as possible. Jack Grealish, Kalvin Phillips, and Nathan Ake are three players who picked up blows against Bournemouth and Newcastle United.

Pep Guardiola provides update on Manchester City players

Cityzens boss Pep Guardiola has handed a major injury boost to the fans ahead of the clash against Nottingham Forest.

The progress on recoveries seems to be happening just as the club would have wanted ahead of the forthcoming fixtures. Moreover, City hopes all the players recover well before the new Champions League season gets underway.

Also, speaking in an interview, Guardiola provided significant insight into the injured players and their progress. He said-

“I saw them in the training session, close, running on the other pitch with the ball. They are both, Nathan as well, much, much better,

“We will see for Aston Villa (on Saturday) or the Champions League or the next one, Spurs. They are closer and we will need them as we have few players.”

Philips who picked up a knock against Barcelona in a charity match at Camp Nou is also recovering well. The Blue side of Manchester are certainly title contenders and will hope they get all players back in form.
