However, since appointing Mikel Arteta as head coach, Arsenal have changed its fortunes. Although, It wasn’t a smooth ride as they have struggled at times but have managed to move past it. They lost out on European football last season however as they finished 8th in the league. They have fought back well this season and have managed to be in the top 4.
Players stepping up
Much of the credit goes to the youngsters and the smart signing Arteta made in the Summer. Arteta received a lot of stick on social media as he signed the likes of Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale in the Summer. However, Both these players have been vital to Arsenal’s success this season. Moreover, youngsters stepped up for Arsenal when the moment arrived. Players like Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith-Rowe and Martin Odegaard have been brilliant for Arsenal. They are the reason for Arsenal’s success as they are young and hungry. Moreover, They have the likes of players like Mohamed Elneny and Nketiah who stay behind the spotlight but are vital for the club, especially the former. Elneny has received a lot of stick from Pundits and fans however the man has stepped up when it was necessary. Moreover, Elneny is a moral leader in dressing and people look up to him.
Arsenal deserves the win over Tottenham as they have been the better team all season. Moreover, Their players are hungry and passionate about the game.
