Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement option is being talked about at the Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino

Chelsea are currently sitting at the 10th position in the premier league. The blues have just lost to Newcastle United 4-1 last week. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino was suspended and couldn’t be on the sidelines for the team. Moreover, the team really displayed a poor performance against Newcastle. Because of all these things, rumors are all around that the Argentine coach may be sacked by the club. Furthermore, as per the recent reports, Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement options are also being searched.

According to the Chelseachronicle, the blues could appoint Massimiliano Allegri as the head coach if they plan to sack Pochettino. Although there are rumors about Pochettino’s sacking, but the coach has really tried to turn the team into a fighting unit. However, the current league standings are not able to showcase his efforts as a coach. Moreover, their recent defeat to Newcastle has further raised concerns over Pochettino’s future at the Stamford Bridge.

If we compare Chelsea’s performance from their last season’s run, there’s not much of a difference. And that’s clearly visible after their match against Newcastle United. Moreover, the club is signing players every now and then. That’s only increasing their spending if results are not visible.

Why Allegri is considered as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement?

Massimiliano Allegri was a long term Target for the blues. However, he was serving as the manager of Juventus. Because of this, Chelsea shifted their attention towards Pochettino. However, as per the recent reports, the Italian is not planning for any further commitment with Juventus. If these reports are true, there’s a high probability that we can see Allegri as the new blues head coach next season. However, it’s not an official information or a statement. The club believes in Pochettino. They will give him this whole season and see what can he do.
