Manchester United have again thought to bring back Memphis Depay of Barcelona. It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get back up. A comeback season for Manchester United. And now the Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants to bring the good old days back to Old Trafford. Red Devils yet again want to sign in Memphis Depay from the Spanish giants.
Will Memphis Depay start signing again to Manchester United after leaving Barcelona?
The 28-years-old Dutch international currently plays as a forward for the La Liga giants Barcelona. Memphis Depay joined the Dutch side PSV Eindhoven senior side in 2011. Where he made 90 appearances scoring 39 goals. On May 2015, the Dutchman made his arrival to the English side Manchester United. Under manager Louis van Gaal, the Dutch winger made 33 appearances scoring only 2 goals. Furthermore, on January 2017, Memphis signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with French club Lyon. Following, on June 2021, La Liga club Barcelona announced the free transfer of Memphis on a two-year contract.
Memphis is a fearsome right-footed striker on the left wing, with pace and full of tricks and turns. Memphis is also known for his free-kick ability. The comparison with the former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo as,
“Memphis is a little bit like Cristiano; they have similar qualities, although there are of course areas where Memphis is inferior.”
With all these valid reasons Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants to sign in the Dutchman to the club.
